Common questions

Why does Podoro need Screen Time access?

Blocking apps is only possible through Apple's Screen Time APIs, and those require your explicit permission. Podoro can't read which apps you use or what you do in them — it can only shield the apps you pick yourself. You can revoke access any time in Settings → Screen Time.

Why does Podoro require iOS 26?

The unmissable phase-change alert is built on AlarmKit, which Apple introduced in iOS 26. That alert is the core of how Podoro works, so there isn't a meaningful version of the app on older releases.

My apps are still blocked after a session ended

Open Podoro once — it reconciles the block state whenever it comes to the foreground and will lift the shield. If they're still blocked, ending the session from inside the app clears it immediately. You can also revoke Screen Time access in Settings, which removes all shields at once.

Can I get around the block?

Yes, deliberately. Podoro is designed as friction, not a lock — you can end a session early whenever you genuinely need to. It exists to make reaching for the wrong app a decision rather than a reflex.

How do I restore a subscription?

Open Settings → Unlock Pro inside the app and tap Restore purchase. Your subscription is tied to your Apple Account, so it follows you to new devices.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Podoro. Cancelling there stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Does my data sync between devices?

Not currently. Your settings and focus history are stored only on the device they were created on.
